Eat Here...Jak's Kitchen

There are few things that I enjoy more in life than catching up with girlfriends over a delish meal (in case you haven't figured that out...). Steph was home from Calgary for the Easter weekend and we met up with Brenda at Jak's Kitchen on Bronson for a leisurely brunch.

Jak's is a teeny-tiny, cosy little diner that serves up quality comfort food, usually using local and seasonal produce. Don't expect fancy lattes - we quickly learned the only option is good old fashioned drip coffee, but it was ok because it went with the vibe. You can, however, count on lots of yummy menu choices like the kitchen macs (egg sandwiches like the Andy - Maple sausage patty, Gruyere cheese and Jak’s cranberry mustard) or the Benedictines (Steph had the Montreal - which included a sesame bagel, smoked salmon, and lemon chive crème fraiche). Highly recommended for a gossipy brunch with the girls, or a lazy breakfast date with your main squeeze.

Happy brunching! Jak's Kitchen is located at Bronson and Macleod.
