LBB Beauty...Le Messy Bun

I hope everyone had a fab weekend! Today is my official b-day (29!), but because it falls on a Sunday Hubby and I had a chill day. We grabbed brunch at Benny's Bistro this morning, walked around the Byward Market and spent some time decorating the Christmas tree.

But enough about me...let's talk holiday hair. I am so jealous of those people that manage to pull off sophisticated festive styles with the greatest of ease. My usual options are down, straight and teased, or if I am feeling wild, down, curly and teased. I would love to try out a soft updo for the holidays and I think that a well-executed "messy" bun or twist would be just the ticket. I might have to try out this great tutorial from Lauren Conrad's beauty website, The Beauty Department:
