What are you watching this Winter?

Happy Saturday Birdies! Once again, I have been completely and utterly neglectful on the posting front. Life is just so busy lately! With our house going up for sale soon, an upcoming girls trip to Vegas to get ready for (woohoo!) and every day life to keep up with, things have been a little crazzzy!

What better way to unwind when things get a little nutty than with some juicy tv, am I right? Besides hits from this fall (Pan-Am...New Girl...Up All Night), and my usual staples (ahem, Gossip Girl) here are three more shows on my PVR these days:

I have been a fan of The Good Wife since season one. What's not to love? Juliana Margulies is subtle but brilliant in the lead role of Alicia Florrick, who returns to working as a lawyer after 13 years as a stay at home mom when her husband (Chris Noth!), the State's Attorney runs into some trouble (ahem, getting caught with prostitutes...accused of some untoward career moves, etc). Now in Season 3, we've seen Alicia take her career by the horns, engage in some steamy scenes with her handsome boss, and manage her separation from her husband, all while wearing perfectly tailored suits and with never a hair out of place.

I may be the only person in Canada (where the CW Network ain't so big) to watch Sarah Michelle Gellar's new show, Ringer. Talk about plot twists - Gellar plays identical twins, one (Bridget) a recovering drug addict on the run from the FBI for failing to testify in a murder case, and the other (Siobhan) a wealthy New York wife with a seemingly perfect marriage and life. But when Siobhan disappears, Bridget assumes her identity to hide from the FBI and realizes that sis's life isn't as perfect as it seems. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a new episode of this show for weeks! Here's hoping it's just on hiatus and not cancelled (so many shows I love get cancelled...what does that say about my taste in TV??)

Finally, I've recently gotten into Rachel Bilson's new show, Hart of Dixie. It doesn't have much of anything that usually drives ratings - sex, violence, rich people with Botox and spray tans - but it's cute, funny, and with its setting in the Southern U.S., feels like a little burst of summer on a cold January night. Bilson plays an uber-ambitious NYC Doctor who inherits a medical practice in a teeny Southern town. Along the way she deals with a rival doctor, gossipy townies who don't like the fact that she struts around in shorts and heels, and snooty Southern Belle Lemon (yep. Her name is Lemon) played by Jaime King.

What shows are getting you through the Winter??
