Designer Collabos (I think) You will Love

Ever since the likes of H&M and Target began collaborating with high-end designers to bring luxury fashion to the masses, the trend of retailers getting big names on board, or even designers teaming up with one another, has caught on like wild fire. It's especially great seeing some Canadian retailers (like Aldo and Danier) breathing life into their stores by bringing in some big name talent. Here are some items I'm coveting for fall, courtesy of collaborations!

Greta Constantine x Danier

I have to admit, it's been a while since I've set foot in a Danier store, dismissing it as being full of ill-fitting, out-dated leather jackets. So, I am super excited to see this brand teaming up with amazing designers like Mark Fast, and Greta Constantine (above). This suede vest / wrap takes cozy to a chic new level. $399, at Danier.

B Brian Atwood

Over the past few years, Brian Atwood's incredible shoe designs have become a favourite for young hollywood and socialites alike. Unfortunately, the price point runs a little steep for most of us. Luckily, Atwood has teamed up with Jones New York to create B, a slightly lower priced (but still kinda steep) line of shoes and boots. My pick is the Blayne pump, above.

Alexa Chung for Madewell

Brit it-girl Alexa Chung has collaborated with one of my favourite online shopping destinations, Madewell, for a few seasons now. Her looks are always fresh and fun and embody her own personal style. I love this long sleeved lace dress, as lace is a big trend this fall, and the fact that it's in white means it can carry over to next spring too! $188, www.madewell.com

Toms x The Row

You may have noticed that Toms cute, cozy slides are quickly usurping ballet flats and flip flops as the comfy yet still cute shoe of choice. For fall, Toms teamed up with The Row (ie, the Olsen twins' fashion line), to put out a version of their shoe in high quality Italian wool. Adorable! These go for about $140 at www.toms.com, or find them at your nearest Holt Renfrew.
