Retail Adventure...Simply White

It goes without saying that St. Catharines isn't exactly known as a hot shopping destination. However, whenever I am visiting C I insist we make a pilgrimage to Simply White (formerly known as CeCe & Co...check out the previous owner's blog). It's a teeny tiny shop on a quiet street downtown that is well...simply white -the floors, the walls, and the antique furniture that is used to display the goodies up for sale. The shelves are packed with fabulous pieces from dishes and mugs to vases, candle holders, and at this time of the year, Christmas decorations. The style screams girly / glam yet retro with just the right amount of offbeat touches like poodle shaped salt and pepper shakers and ceramic owls. If you're looking for a hostess gift there is no shortage of gourmet snacks (rosemary-cheddar shortbread cookies!) and delightfully scented candles and soaps.

On this shopping trip, I opted for some Christmas decorations...there's just something about woodland-creature themed holiday decor, don't you agree?
