Canada Day Recap!

I hope everyone had a lovely Canada Day!! For the first time in a couple of years, I braved the crowds of downtown Ottawa, eager (like everyone else in the city) to catch a glimpse of the Royal Couple. While my lack of height impeded me from seeing them with my own two eyes, I was able to see their RCMP escort bobbing by on horseback, and luckily we had a great view of the big screen. The energy and excitement of the crowd was incredible:

 After we recovered from our jaunt downtown, we headed out into the country for an afternoon bbq at a property my dad owns for his business (which happens to have a salt water pool!). Friends stopped by, and there were plenty of dogs and a baby for poolside entertainment.
