Date Night in Italy

Ok, not really. But last week Hubby and I indulged in a night of Italian food, wine, and art at the National Gallery. The gallery is showing an exhibit of Italian artist Caravaggio and his followers, and to celebrate, put on a fabulous wine pairing evening. Hubby and I milled about the great hall at the gallery, trying a variety of wines from Masi paired with treats from Ottawa establishments like Giovanni's and Il Primo.

My favourite parts of the evening? The view of the Parliament buildings, and the beautiful cheese that Jacobson's was sampling - a pecorino romano infused with black truffle...oh and the art of course!
